Each card names the piece it is about, and every one was left by a customer who bought it from us.

5/5Harry D.Round casserole

The matte and calm tone of the Chambray colour has truly become the favourite of my kitchen. The lid fits the pot so perfectly that it's impossible for moisture to escape. It's my go-to for weekly rice and juicy dishes.

Customer photo from a review by Rory S.

5/5Rory S.Oval casserole

It's much more practical than round ones for roasting a whole chicken, turkey legs, or large lamb shoulders. I pop it in the oven and wait for the meat to become meltingly soft.

Customer photo from a review by Toby G.

5/5Toby G.Shallow casserole

Its shallow depth and wide base make it flawless for making risotto and paella. It spreads the heat perfectly for dishes that need to absorb water slowly.

Customer photo from a review by Oliver T.

5/5Oliver T.Flamme Dorée round

When I first saw this casserole, I fell in love with those golden shimmers. I use it to bake sourdough bread in the oven on Sundays, and the crust turns out perfectly crispy just as I want it. The heat distribution is simply exceptional.

Customer photo from a review by Leo V.

5/5Leo V.Pumpkin casserole

I bought it for my autumn-themed table settings, and it has literally become the star of the table. The pumpkin soup I served in it got full marks from the guests. The orange tone of the Volcanic colour suits the pumpkin shape incredibly well.

Customer photo from a review by Charlie K.

5/5Charlie K.Round casserole

My mum had a Le Creuset she used for years, and I finally bought one for my own home. This classic model makes you feel like a chef in the kitchen. My favourite feature is how it retains heat for such a long time.

Customer photo from a review by Teddy W.

5/5Teddy W.Oval casserole

It has become the leading actor of our Sunday dinner tradition. I fill it with meat, potatoes, and carrots and slow-cook it in the oven for hours. The result is always restaurant quality.

Customer photo from a review by Finn R.

5/5Finn R.Shallow casserole

I use it to make a large shakshuka for weekend breakfasts. I put it on the table straight from the oven; its colour and design instantly enrich the setting.

Customer photo from a review by George B.

5/5George B.Flamme Dorée round

As someone who makes plenty of stews and creamy soups in the winter, I can say it's become my right-hand man in the kitchen. The Flamme Doree series colour feels much more premium than the classic Le Creuset tones. It's definitely an heirloom piece.

Customer photo from a review by Freya H.

4/5Freya H.Pumpkin casserole

It looks so cute and the cooking performance is top-notch. I love making seasonal soups in it. I am giving it 4 stars only because the shipping company delivered it several days late.

Customer photo from a review by Isabella F.

5/5Isabella F.Round casserole

I bought it with great enthusiasm, and it has exceeded all my expectations! The enamel stays perfectly clean even after multiple heavy uses, and the base heats up beautifully. Worth every penny.

Customer photo from a review by Lola F.

5/5Lola F.Oval casserole

I chose the Nectar yellow colour, and it added an incredible vibrancy to my kitchen. Condensing the juice and steam inside the lid and dripping it back ensures the meat never dries out.

Customer photo from a review by Isla B.

5/5Isla B.Shallow casserole

Thanks to its shallow structure, it's also very suitable for pastries and baked desserts. I made a tarte tatin in it the other day, and the caramel turned out perfectly without sticking to the bottom at all.

Customer photo from a review by Chloe W.

5/5Chloe W.Flamme Dorée round

The cooking performance is fantastic, perfectly sealing in the moisture and flavour of the food. The golden reflections on the finish are absolutely stunning in person. You simply can't fault the quality of this pot.

Customer photo from a review by Oscar G.

5/5Oscar G.Round casserole

I use it for both Sunday roasts and boiling chicken; the size is perfectly sufficient for a family of four. The fact that the food continues to cook itself even after you turn off the hob saves energy.

Customer photo from a review by Harrison G.

5/5Harrison G.Oval casserole

The generous volume is fantastic. I love cooking large batches of stew so we have leftovers for the week. It looks beautiful on the table when we host guests, too.

Customer photo from a review by Mason T.

5/5Mason T.Shallow casserole

A fantastic addition to my kitchen arsenal. The shallow depth is brilliant for reducing sauces quickly, and the heat control is phenomenal.

Customer photo from a review by Jack P.

5/5Jack P.Flamme Dorée round

I bought this as a birthday gift for my wife, and she hasn't left the kitchen since. It ensures meat falls apart beautifully, especially in slow-cooked dishes. Cleaning is also very practical thanks to the inner enamel coating.

Customer photo from a review by Jacob S.

5/5Jacob S.Round casserole

The steel knob on the lid is very reassuring for oven use. My previous unbranded cast iron pot had a plastic handle that melted in the oven. I fully experience that confidence with this pot.

Customer photo from a review by Imogen P.

5/5Imogen P.Oval casserole

Thanks to its oval shape, I get brilliant results baking large baguettes or artisan loaves. A quality that everyone who bakes bread at home should try.

Customer photo from a review by Heidi C.

5/5Heidi C.Shallow casserole

You wouldn't believe how easy it is to clean. No matter how greasy or saucy a dish I cook, the enamel surface doesn't retain any odours or stains.

Customer photo from a review by Arthur M.

5/5Arthur M.Flamme Dorée round

You feel the weight and quality of the cast iron the moment you pick it up. Being able to saute vegetables and then put the same pot into the oven incredibly reduces the washing up.

Customer photo from a review by William N.

5/5William N.Round casserole

I wasn't someone who spent much time in the kitchen, but after buying this casserole, I started trying new recipes constantly. The caramelisation process is flawless in this pot, especially when making French onion soup.

Customer photo from a review by Bella H.

5/5Bella H.Oval casserole

My essential for preparing winter roasts. The bottom base is so thick that it never loses its heat when searing meat on the hob.

Customer photo from a review by Mila W.

5/5Mila W.Shallow casserole

This model is my absolute favourite for poaching fish. Whole fish fit in and cook evenly without falling apart. The Volcanic orange gives a great energy to my kitchen.

Customer photo from a review by Emily R.

5/5Emily R.Flamme Dorée round

I know it's an expensive investment, but it's absolutely worth every penny. It works flawlessly on both the hob and induction surfaces. The colour is so beautiful that I display it on the counter even when I'm not using it.

Customer photo from a review by Ruby C.

5/5Ruby C.Round casserole

The colour is exactly the same as online, very vibrant and beautiful. The heavy lid sits flawlessly on the body of the pot, sealing in every drop of moisture. An absolute joy to cook with.

Customer photo from a review by Archie R.

5/5Archie R.Oval casserole

Despite its oval shape, the inner corners are so curved that no food residues remain in the corners when wiping or washing. It has a cleanup process no different from classic round ones.

Customer photo from a review by Jude N.

5/5Jude N.Shallow casserole

It functions as a pan, a baking tray, and a serving platter. Being so versatile makes this pot a product that gives you your money's worth.

Customer photo from a review by Amelia S.

4/5Amelia S.Flamme Dorée round

The design added an incredible touch to my kitchen; I especially love serving straight from the hob to the table. It keeps the food warm for hours. I am only giving it 4 stars because the delivery was significantly delayed and arrived days late.

Customer photo from a review by Alfie T.

5/5Alfie T.Round casserole

A piece for life. Being dishwasher safe is a big advantage, but I wash it by hand to keep the glaze shining. Everyone's eyes are on the pot when I place it on the table straight from the oven.

Customer photo from a review by Felix L.

5/5Felix L.Oval casserole

The outer enamel coating is remarkably durable. I've used it heavily for months and it still looks brand new without a single scratch.

Customer photo from a review by Arlo E.

When I opened the box, I was amazed by the vibrant colour and flawless finish. It cooks paellas beautifully without any sticking.

Customer photo from a review by Sophie C.

4/5Sophie C.Flamme Dorée round

The 20 cm size is absolutely ideal for a two-person household; it sits permanently on the hob for daily meals. The product itself is perfect, but I deducted a star because the shipping took much longer than expected.

Customer photo from a review by Evie P.

5/5Evie P.Round casserole

Searing chicken or cuts of meat on the hob on high heat first and then popping them straight into the oven without changing pots is wonderfully practical. Every kitchen must absolutely have a round Le Creuset.

Customer photo from a review by Eva T.

5/5Eva T.Oval casserole

Its appearance is highly classic and noble; its performance is at the level of a full professional chef's equipment. This is the best quality cast iron pot money can buy.

Customer photo from a review by Luna K.

5/5Luna K.Shallow casserole

My hand constantly reaches for this when making chicken saute for dinner. Because it's shallow, using a ladle is much more comfortable when serving food.

Customer photo from a review by Mia L.

4/5Mia L.Round casserole

Food absolutely doesn't stick to the base thanks to its inner coating, making it a breeze to wash. The pot is wonderful, but I am giving it 4 stars because the parcel arrived nearly a week late.

Customer photo from a review by Elsie D.

4/5Elsie D.Oval casserole

Tailor-made for long cuts of meat with bone. For oven use, it's absolutely perfect. I'm giving it 4 stars purely due to the late delivery from the shipping company.

Customer photo from a review by Evie H.

4/5Evie H.Shallow casserole

Thanks to its wide base, I can comfortably sear large portions of meat. It's an exceptional casserole dish. I took off one star because it arrived very late due to the courier.

Customer photo from a review by Ava W.

4/5Ava W.Round casserole

Undisputedly the best among enamelled cast iron pots. Its performance is flawless and makes cooking a joy. I had to drop a star purely because it arrived much later than the estimated delivery date.

Customer photo from a review by Louie C.

4/5Louie C.Oval casserole

Fitting it into the oven is very easy, and the results are mouth-watering. The casserole itself is magnificent, but I'm deducting a star because the shipping was incredibly slow.

Customer photo from a review by Dylan P.

4/5Dylan P.Shallow casserole

The double side handles make transferring it from the hob to the oven very ergonomic. I love the product, but I'm dropping one star because the shipping took longer than expected.

Customer photo from a review by Grace B.

4/5Grace B.Round casserole

The design is very elegant and classic. It takes the aroma of the meals to a completely different level. Taking off one star because the courier was very slow and the package arrived late.

Customer photo from a review by Penelope N.

4/5Penelope N.Oval casserole

The lid design fits wonderfully, meaning all the moisture of the meal stays inside. A superb product, but I'm leaving 4 stars because it arrived much later than promised.

Customer photo from a review by Harper L.

4/5Harper L.Shallow casserole

It fits perfectly on the largest ring of my hob, providing excellent heat distribution. It's a great pot, but I can only give it 4 stars because the courier delivered it days late.

5/5Thomas H.Flamme Dorée round

An absolute game changer for stews and roasts. The Flamme Doree finish is stunning and the heat retention is unmatched. It arrived securely packaged and in pristine condition.

5/5Noah E.Pumpkin casserole

I bought it for Halloween dinner, but I can say it's now my favourite pot throughout the winter. The handle design on the lid is as realistic as a real pumpkin stem, and it's quite comfortable to hold.

5/5Arthur S.Flower casserole

The flower design brings spring to your table even on cold winter days. Le Creuset's craftsmanship quality is evident in every curve of this pot.

5/5Samuel P.Petal soup pot

I ordered it as a gift for my newlywed friend; the box and the unboxing were very elegant. I can't wait to buy one for myself. The heat retention capacity is perfect.

5/5Isaac H.Coupe dinnerware set

The rimless Coupe design looks incredibly minimalist and modern on the table. The vibrancy of the colours especially turns food presentations into a work of art.

4/5Lily J.Flamme Dorée round

A perfect choice for any slow-cooked meal. It ensures the meat cooks in its own juices without drying out. I would have given it 5 stars, but the delivery company was extremely late in dropping it off.

5/5Florence A.Pumpkin casserole

Definitely a collector's item. Whether you make a casserole in the oven or boil soup on the hob, the result is always perfect. The price is a bit high, but it's absolutely worth it for that elegant presentation on the table.

5/5Oscar M.Flower casserole

When you bake cakes and oven bread in it, they come out moulded in a flower shape. Presentations made for tea times look incredibly cute and professional.

5/5Ivy T.Petal soup pot

I fell in love with the design and bought it. The capacity is wonderfully suited for romantic dinners for two or serving beautiful desserts. The quality is exactly what you expect from Le Creuset.

5/5Finn C.Coupe dinnerware set

I've been using them every day for about six months, and despite constantly being washed in the dishwasher, not a single cutlery scratch or dulling has occurred on the plates.

5/5Ethan D.Pumpkin casserole

Aesthetically flawless and surprisingly practical for daily use. The slightly domed interior actually makes stirring stews and thick soups a wonderful experience.

5/5Isabella K.Flower casserole

It's so beautiful that I don't hide it in the cupboard in the kitchen; I constantly display it on an open shelf. It's the first thing everyone who visits notices.

5/5Benjamin C.Petal soup pot

The inside is coated with cream enamel, so it shows the colour of the food very well and the bottom absolutely doesn't catch. I enjoy using it very much.

5/5Layla B.Coupe dinnerware set

The harmony of the colours in the set is magnificent. Even an ordinary weekday meal makes us feel as if we are in a chic restaurant.

5/5Alice R.Pumpkin casserole

The volume turned out to be much larger than I expected. I can comfortably fit a whole chicken and vegetables around it inside. The taste of the food coming out of the oven is truly unbelievable.

5/5Charlie P.Flower casserole

I am totally in love with this petal design. It's actually incredibly easy to wipe down, and the enamel interior ensures absolutely nothing sticks to the bottom.

5/5Sienna R.Petal soup pot

Both an aesthetic masterpiece and one of the heaviest worker in the kitchen. The quality of the cast iron feels sturdy enough to be used for years.

5/5Carter G.Coupe dinnerware set

I adore the rustic feel of this stoneware. It feels so much more substantial and premium than thin, fragile porcelain.

5/5Rosie L.Pumpkin casserole

When I'm not cooking, I display it in the middle of the kitchen island like a decorative bowl full of fruit. Every guest I have asks where I got it.

5/5Mia L.Flower casserole

When the incredible heat retention quality of cast iron and this magnificent aesthetic combine, a piece of kitchen art emerges.

5/5Lucas M.Petal soup pot

The matte look of the Sea Salt colour suited my kitchen's colour palette perfectly. It has established a permanent place for itself on the counter.

The petal design of the lid is a very thoughtful detail. It creates a great presentation on the table. The product is perfect, but I'm deducting a star because the delivery was significantly delayed.

The aesthetics are beautiful, and it's built to last a lifetime. I would happily give it 5 stars, but I am leaving 4 stars because the shipping process was much slower than I anticipated.

4/5Amber M.Coupe dinnerware set

The entire atmosphere of my table has changed with this set; everyone loves it. Dropping one star purely because the shipping was delayed.

4/5Poppy S.Pumpkin casserole

The interior cream enamel is smooth and doesn't stain at all. I adore the piece, giving it 4 stars only because the delivery was well past the estimated date.

What arrives

A heart the whole way through

Not a round pot with a heart on the lid: the body, the lid, the knob and the pale enamel inside are all the same shape.

Cast iron heart shaped casserole in Sea Salt, a pale green heart-shaped pot with a stainless steel heart for a knob

Made in
FranceCast and enamelled at Fresnoy-le-Grand, as the cast iron always has been.

Cast as a heart, not stamped into one

Most heart-shaped cookware is a normal pot wearing a shape on its lid.

Cast, not pressed
The heart runs through the whole casting. The lid repeats it in raised rings, the handles sit where the shoulders of a heart would be, and the knob is a heart rather than a round knob shaped to suggest one.
The tell
Take the lid off. The cavity is a heart too, because a cast pot cannot be a heart on the outside and a circle on the inside.
The heart casserole from directly above, showing the raised heart rings on the lid and the steel heart knob at the centre

1.9 litres is two people, honestly

This is the smallest pot we sell, and we would rather say so now than have you find out at the table.

What fits
A braise for two with something left for tomorrow. Two portions of stew, a small ragu, a shakshuka, a dauphinoise for two, a loaf of no-knead bread.
What doesn't
A whole chicken. A stew for six. Anything you were planning to freeze half of. At 20 cm the footprint is small before the depth even matters.
If you need more
The round casserole starts at 18 cm and runs to 30, and it is the pot to buy if this is the only cast iron in the kitchen. The heart is the second one.
The heart casserole with the lid off, showing the heart-shaped cavity and pale cream enamel interior

Cerise is the obvious one

Cerise is the heart people picture, and it is the one that reads as a gift from across the room. The other three are quieter about it: Shell Pink and Peche soften the shape, and Sea Salt takes it somewhere else entirely, which is the one to choose if you want it out on the hob in March without explaining yourself.

The shape, in numbers

1.9 L At 20 cm. Dinner for two, with a portion left over.
−23 to 260 °C Working range, steel heart included. Freezer, fridge, hob, oven, under the grill.
France Cast and enamelled at Fresnoy-le-Grand, where the cast iron has always been made.
Lifetime Guarantee on the cast iron against defects.

A gift that has to survive February

Most heart-shaped things are opened once and then live in a cupboard.

The obvious weeks
Valentine's, an engagement, a wedding list, a first flat. Cerise and Shell Pink are bought almost entirely in these weeks.
The rest of the year
It is a 1.9 litre enamelled casserole with a lifetime guarantee, which is a perfectly ordinary thing to braise in on a Tuesday. Sea Salt and Peche are the colours that get left out on the hob.

Three habits, then forget

  • 1Low to medium heat, and let it come up slowly.
  • 2Wooden, silicone or heat-resistant plastic tools.
  • 3Wash by hand in warm soapy water and dry it.

The point of the heart is the two curves at the top, and that is where a cloth does not reach on its own. Dry it upside down for a minute before it goes in the cupboard.

The full care page

Questions we actually get

Is it big enough to cook in properly?

For two people, yes. At 20 cm and 1.9 litres it takes a braise for two with a portion left for tomorrow. It will not take a whole chicken or a stew for six, and we would rather tell you that here.

Is the inside a heart as well, or just the outside?

A heart as well. The pot is cast in one piece, so the cavity follows the outside shape. The interior enamel is pale, which makes it easier to read the colour of a sauce.

Will it work on an induction hob?

Yes. Cast iron is magnetic, so it works on induction as well as gas, electric, ceramic and under the grill.

Does the steel heart knob go in the oven?

Yes, to the same 260 degrees as the rest of the pot. Use gloves, because like every metal knob it gets as hot as whatever is around it.

Can it go in the dishwasher?

Le Creuset asks for handwashing and so do we. Warm water and washing up liquid is the whole routine.

What happens if the enamel chips?
